Areas of Specialism

I completed my consultant training with Dr. Joany Spierings, a highly respected senior EMDR Trainer.

Trained and supervised by the best in the field I prioritise continuing professional development (CPD) and consider not only my interests but also those of my supervisees.

Over the years, I have completed numerous additional training courses, all of which are designed to support and elevate your own EMDR practice. Here’s an overview of my specialised training and expertise:

Attachment Focused EMDR – The Parnell Institute

I had the privilege of training with Dr. Laurel Parnell, a world-renowned leader and innovator in the field of EMDR. Attachment Informed EMDR (AI-EMDR) has emerged as one of the most powerful clinical tools, where attachment repair is central to successful treatment.

Ego State Interventions – Robin Shapiro

Ego states and parts work have become essential interventions in psychotherapy. I was fortunate to train with Robin Shapiro, another esteemed EMDR trainer, and I incorporate parts work with most of my clients.

Under the guidance of Dr. Annabel McGoldrick, I learned how to combine these two powerful therapies. Integrating Internal Family Systems (IFS) within an Attachment-Informed EMDR protocol can deliver the ultimate treatment intervention.

EMDR & IFS – EMDR Insight

Flash Technique & Advanced Flash Technique – Dr Philip Manfield & Dr Lewis Engel

I completed this training in 2016 and share this highly effective intervention with all my supervisees. This technique is pivotal in reducing distress quickly and effectively.

I received in-person training from two of the world's leading IFS trainers, Paul Ginter and Cece Sykes. Many of my supervisees already possess IFS skills and are applying IFS principles in their practice. I receive supervision from an IFS-approved consultant to continue refining my skills.

IFS Level 1 & 2 – IFS Institute UK

This advanced version of EMDR therapy, developed by Ad de Jongh and Suszy Matthijssen, increases the load on the working memory during treatment. The heavier working memory load actively helps to alleviate distress. I can guide you in applying these techniques to facilitate a more effective EMDR therapy.
